On March 21^st, 2009 EXIT Homeplace Realty and B.O.L.D (Bettering our Local Downtown) enjoyed a day of fun at its annual street festival Downtown Going Green!

The event all started with a single bagpiper in 2005 and evolved into a street party that encompassed New Bridge Street and provided good “clean” fun for the whole family along with environmental awareness.

Exit Homeplace Realty held a raffle and was able to collect over $300.00 to benefit the Onslow County Woman’s Shelter.

Festivities this year included: Hwang's Tae Kwon Do Demonstration, Face Painting for the Kids, Port City Pipes & Drums, bagpipers and lots more!

There was also a variety of delicious vendors with foods that tempted the taste buds including Hawaiian Kine Shave Ice, Southern Concessions, Enchanted Garden, Hayes Cooking & Catering and Shirley's V-Bar.

The local Police and Fire Department came out in force to join in the fun and put on demonstrations for the kids and it couldn’t have been done without the help from volunteers who included many of our Marines.

A great time was had by all and we look forward to another great event next year.
